With the official glamshots of the Miss Bohol 2015 candidates uploaded, it can be safely said that the search is definitely on for the next face of the beautiful island paradise.

This year's competition will have 23 stunning Boholanas --- 21 towns, including the City of Tagbilaran, one private institution, and one HEI --- vying for the glistening crown on the head of Queenie Melody Fullante, last year's winner from the town of Dauis.  They were presented to the press last July 2 at the Bellevue Resort in Panglao.

Clad in faux furs and adorning a classic triple layer pearl necklace, the girls look like fine timeless women in their official photos, truly defining what a classic beauty a Miss Bohol can be.

The Miss Bohol is Bohol's most prestigious beauty tilt in the province.  According to its website, "aside from the Quintessential character of the Boholana beauty, the Miss Bohol must also be the epitome of a modern Boholana; one who possesses wit and intelligence; one who portrays conscientiousness and mindfulness; she is confident, charming and career- oriented."

The next Miss Bohol will be elected on July 18 at the Bohol Cultural Center.  The next of Bohol will be a spokesperson for various activities, projects and advocacies related to Education, Environment, Equality, Cultural Heritage, Women/ Children’s Health, Poverty, and Livelihood.

Before the coronation night, the talent competition will be conducted on the 12th (that is today) at the Bohol Cultural Center.  The girls will be judged by the merits of their talent showcase and shall account to 20% of their total scores.  The ladies will also walk in a bridal fashion show by renowned Boholano fashion designer, Mikee Andrei.  That will be on July 13 at the Bellevue Resort in Panglao.

Before I end this post, I'd like to say that if I were to play Georgina Wilson or Tyra Banks, these are the stand out photos for this year's official glamshot with Miss Baclayon leading the pact. Hers is a stunning photo that exudes much sophistication and confidence, with a hint of subtle seduction. Panglao comes in second with this striking picture.  Pres. CPG's photo reminds me so much of Marilyn Monroe, the classic icon of beauty and sex, which earns her the third spot.  BISU's photo reminds me of hanged photos in old ancestral houses while the classic photogenic beauty of Dimiao shines through in her photo. It must be the doe eyes.
