Now this is great news to every Boholano!

At the conclusion of last night's evening gown competition for Miss Philippines Earth 2015, Gayle Yu, Bohol's bet for the national beauty tourney was announced as The Face of Colour Collection.

The winner was determined through online vote at Tupperware Brand's official Facebook page where the supporters of the Boholana delegate secured for her the top spot. As of press time, Miss Calape Bohol amassed 3,705 votes, while Sofia Loren Deliu, the delegate from Baguio, came in second place with 1,812 votes.

Aside from the announcement of this year's Face of Colour Collection, various special awards were also handed during the evening. The awards and recipients are as follows:

As it is the evening gown competition leading up to the finals, the winners of the Evening Gown competition are the big winners of the night. They are: Miss Iloilo City, Jona Sweett; Miss Cagayan de Oro City, Beatrice Alvarez; and, Miss San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, Chanel Olive Thomas, bagging the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, respectively.

For the evening gown competition, Gayle wore a red gown designed by Mikee Andrei.

The new Miss Philippines Earth will be crowned on May 31, 2015 at the Mall of Asia Arena. She will succeed the reigning Miss Earth, Jamie Herrell and will represent the Philippines on Miss Earth 2015.
