Since the time they audition for Island City Mall's KPop Dance Revolution 2015, Boholana cover group Agassi Dae has already been tagged as the team to beat.  With their close to perfection performances, looking like it came straight from a music video, the nine-strong muses of Agassi Dae ended up being the leader of the pact after being declared as the contest winner.  And from then on out, things are bound to get better.

Agassi Dae’s triumph is somewhat a vindication for some of the girls, especially for Pearl Dianne Bungabong (you remember her as Miss Silka Bohol 2014 second runner up), Marle Jimenez, and Rapah Barbarona, the unnis of the group.

“Happy (on their win) samut namung tulo kay murag naniguwang nami’g sayaw-sayaw,” Marle, who covered SNSD’s Kid Leader Taeyeon, declares.

“We’ve been dancing for how many years…karun pa mi ningdaog,” explains Rapah who covered Aegyo Queen Sunny.  “Kalingaw ra runner up.”

“Kung wala pa me nang-graduate ug college, dili pa me kadaug,” Marle adds.

It was a well-deserved win, considering how these girls, majority of them in their 20s and are starting to pursue their individual careers, squeezed into their already busy schedules their regular dance practices.   It was pure dedication and a burning passion.  Even Rapah decided to chop her hair off to really imitate Sunny’s locks.  It was an indestructible teamwork with the right element of diligence and fun that earned the girls their much coveted victory.

They say that music has its way of bringing people together.  How Agassi Dae was formed is clear evidence to the claim.  They were once acquaintances, even strangers but their common love for Korean Pop music and dancing paved the way for these ladies to form a very strong bond. And while the music may stop playing or their bodies and commitments stop them from dancing, the friendship that they forged will be divine.

2.  What is the most embarrassing moment you had as a group?
Mykelle (Soo): Kanang mga obvious nga mistakes siguro…pero dili man siya embarrassing.
Marle (Tae): Wala man.

3. If you’re not covering SNSD, what group is you be covering?
Agassi Dae: (in chorus) AOA!!! Or 9Muses

4. Name one thing you like and one thing you don’t like about KPop.
Pearl (Seo):  One thing I like, kanang sauna, naexperience nako sa Cebu, for example, muperform.  Like isa ka song, man tanan bitawng tawo mo murag mu, “Oh My God!”, mag fangirl, mu-fan chant.  Kanang feels ba.  One thing I don’t like kay kanang fanwars.  Grabe jud! Wala gane nag-away ang tinuod nga artista, unya mag-away.  Kanang mag-bash-bash bitaw.
Thia (Hyo): Ganahan ko sa ilang genre.  Kanang sa Philippines, kay naa man puy kanta-kanta, sayaw-sayaw.  Pero kanang ilahang sexy concept kay dili laswa. Dislike kay…dili ko updated.
Marle (Tae): There is something about Kpop nga makasiga bitaw ug mata.  Mura siyag maka-enganyo ba.  Basta lami ang feeling. Mura kag ilupad-lupad.  Human, dislike.  Uhm…kanang naay murag discrimination.  Kay kung girl group, grabe kaayo makainsulto, kintahay masayop or naay gamay nga makit-an nga flaw.  Pero kung laki kay, “Ayy! So cute kaayo nila.” Maong luoy kaayo ang mga girl group kung makit-an ilang flaws.
Mykelle (Soo): Nakalike ko sa KPop kay akong first nga nakita adto kay Oh sa GG.  Pagtan-aw nako, “Hala! Lamia man na sila.  Mao nang na-inspire ko nga magsayaw-sayaw ug awaton nako sila.  Dislike nako kay daghan na kaayong rumors.
